NLU Delhi to Host 1st International Conference on “Clean and Safe Sports” on 14 February 2026

National Law University Delhi, under its UNESCO Chair for Legal Dimensions of Clean Sports, will host the 1st International Conference on “Clean and Safe Sports” on 14 February 2026. The conference aims to foster global dialogue on ethical, legal, and institutional challenges in sports, including doping, athlete welfare, safe sporting environments, governance, and emerging technologies like neuro-enhancement and gene editing.

The event will bring together scholars, legal experts, policymakers, sports administrators, athletes, and ethicists to deliberate on integrity, fair play, and safety in sports. Selected peer-reviewed papers will be published in an ISBN-certified edited volume under the UNESCO Chair.

Key themes include ethical issues in clean sports, evolving doping methods, athlete welfare, sports governance, education and awareness, comparative perspectives, policy pathways, competition law, sports dispute resolution, intellectual property rights in sports, and legal implications of enhanced sports.

Abstracts of 300–350 words and full papers of 3,000–5,000 words can be submitted by interested participants. Registration and abstract submissions for students and research scholars are priced at ₹700, while academicians and professionals are charged ₹1,200. Foreign participants can register for USD 25. The registration and abstract submission deadline is 14 December 2025, with acceptance notifications on 20 December 2025 and full paper submissions by 27 January 2026.
