The Law Society, Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has issued a Call for Chapters for the 2026 Edition of the Law Society Review, an annual scholarly publication that brings together critical legal research at national and international levels.
The upcoming volume is centred on the theme:-
“Global Justice in Transition: Law, Reform, and Accountability in the 21st Century.”
This edition aims to explore how evolving digital, environmental, humanitarian, and constitutional challenges are reshaping justice and accountability worldwide. Accepted works will be published in an edited book format with an ISBN.
Thematic Focus Areas (2026 Edition)
The Review welcomes submissions across four major thematic clusters:
- Technology & Justice
Topics include online exploitation, cybercrime, digital fraud, social-media regulation, AI and copyright, and digital rights.
- Technology & Criminal Law Reform
Themes include sedition and national security laws, use of digital evidence, restorative justice, gender inclusivity, and constitutional equality debates.
- Environmental Law & Climate Justice
Areas include climate litigation, rights of climate-displaced persons, AI in conservation, environmental responsibility during conflict, and corporate ecological accountability.
- International Humanitarian Law & Global Accountability
Topics include genocide prevention, ICC accountability mechanisms, sovereignty and humanitarian intervention, command responsibility, and protection of vulnerable groups during conflict.
Types of Submissions
The Review accepts a range of scholarly formats:
- Research Papers: 3,000–5,000 words
- Essays/Articles: 2,000–3,000 words
- Case/Legislative Comments: 1,500–2,500 words
- Opinion Pieces: approx. 1,000 words
(Word limits exclude footnotes; creative academic formats are also welcome.)
Each submission must include a 250-word abstract and relevant keywords.
Authorship Rules
Co-authorship of up to three authors is permitted.
Formatting & Citation Requirements
- Manuscripts must be in Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
- Footnotes must be Times New Roman, size 10, single-spaced.
- Text must be fully justified.
- Maintain a one-line gap between paragraphs and headings.
- All citations must follow OSCOLA (4th ed., 2012) consistently.
Use of AI Tools – Mandatory Disclosure
AI tools such as Grammarly or QuillBot may be used only for basic grammar correction.
Generative AI tools for rewriting or improving language are strictly prohibited.
All manuscripts will undergo AI-generated content screening.
If AI tools were used at any stage, authors must include a clear disclosure note before the References/Bibliography section or on the last page.
Non-disclosure may be treated as academic misconduct.
Plagiarism Policy
Submissions must maintain a similarity index below 10%, excluding correctly cited quotations and references. All manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism.

- Title of the manuscript
- Full name of each author
- Institutional affiliation
- Email ID and contact number
All selected manuscripts must incorporate editorial suggestions using Track Changes.
