ICSI is hiring consultants for Discipline, Governance & Corporate Law, and Academics & Research roles. The salary ranges from ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 per month.

About ICSI

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is a statutory body under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980.

It regulates and develops the profession of Company Secretaries in India.

Further, ICSI has now invited applications for multiple consultant posts on a contractual basis.

Positions Available

ICSI is hiring for the following posts:

Consultant – Discipline

Consultant – Governance & Professional Development – Governance & Corporate Law

Consultant – Academics & Research – Studies

Also, the cut-off date for age, qualification, experience and other eligibility conditions is April 1, 2026.

Consultant – Discipline

Location: ICSI, Noida
Number of Posts: 02
Compensation: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Maximum Age: 40 years
Engagement Period: 11 months

The engagement may continue beyond 11 months.

However, ICSI may extend it only on the basis of performance and requirement.

Moreover, the total extension will not exceed two additional years.

Eligibility

Applicants must be either:

Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, or

LLB graduate

Experience

Candidates should have 3–4 years of experience.

In addition, they should have practical exposure to the Companies Act, 2013.

Work Profile

Selected candidates will handle:

Filing and certification of e-forms on the MCA portal

Secretarial audit

Conduct of meetings

Preparation of minutes and resolutions

Legal drafting

Consultant – Governance & Professional Development

Department: Governance & Corporate Law
Location: Lodi Road, New Delhi

Posts: 01 Company Secretary and 01 Law Graduate
Compensation: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Maximum Age: 40 years
Engagement Period: 11 months

This role will also be contractual.

However, ICSI may extend the engagement every year.

Further, the extension will depend on performance and institutional need.

Eligibility

Applicants must be members of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

In addition, ICSI will prefer candidates with a law degree.

Experience

Applicants should have 0–5 years of experience as a Company Secretary.

Moreover, exposure to NCLT and NCLAT matters will be preferred.

Work Profile

Selected candidates will:

Act as a liaison between ICSI and tribunals, judges and related authorities

Strengthen recognition of Company Secretaries before tribunals

Support capacity building of ICSI members in tribunal-related matters

Address practical difficulties faced by members before tribunal benches

Handle other related work assigned by ICSI

Consultant – Academics & Research – Studies

Location: Noida
Number of Posts: 02
Specialisations: 01 Taxation and 01 Law-related subject
Compensation: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Maximum Age: 40 years
Engagement Period: 11 months

ICSI may extend the engagement after 11 months.

However, the extension will depend on performance and requirement.

Eligibility

For Taxation, the applicant must be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

For the law-related subject, the applicant must be a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India or must hold an LLB degree.

Experience

Applicants should have 0–5 years of experience.

Work Profile For Consultant – Taxation

The selected candidate will:

Develop and update study material for taxation subjects in the CS course

Interpret and analyse direct and indirect tax laws

Prepare and vet publications, case studies, articles and study materials

Track economic, regulatory and technological developments affecting taxation laws

Contribute to syllabus revision of the Company Secretary course

Prepare content for student knowledge bulletins issued by ICSI

Draft concept papers, representations, suggestions and views for regulators

Perform other work assigned from time to time

Work Profile For Consultant – Law-Related Subjects

The selected candidate will:

Develop and update study material for law-related subjects in the CS course

Prepare and vet publications, academic content, case studies and articles

Draft views and suggestions on consultation papers and reports

Track regulatory, economic and technological developments affecting general laws

Contribute to syllabus revision of the Company Secretary course

Prepare content for student knowledge bulletins issued by ICSI

Handle other tasks assigned from time to time

Important Instructions

Applicants must check the eligibility requirements carefully before applying.

If an applicant fails to meet the eligibility criteria, ICSI may cancel the candidature.

Similarly, false information or suppression of material facts may lead to cancellation.

In case ICSI discovers such issues after appointment, it may terminate the services.

The online form must be filled carefully.

Further, incomplete, vague or incorrect applications may be rejected.

Applicants must also have a valid email address.

Therefore, they should check their email regularly for test or interview updates.

ICSI may communicate through email instead of post.

Candidates should take a printout of the online application form for future reference.

However, they should not send hard copies of the form, CV or certificates to ICSI.

Original documents will be verified at the time of interview.

Percentages must be rounded off to the lower whole number.

For example, 49.3% or 49.8% must be entered as 49%, not 50%.

Where grades are awarded, applicants must convert them into equivalent numerical percentages.

While filling the online resume form, candidates should avoid special characters.

In addition, they should use minimum words wherever required.

The uploaded resume file must not exceed 100 KB.

General Conditions

All educational qualifications must come from recognised universities or institutions in India or abroad.

Courses from autonomous institutions must be equivalent to courses approved or recognised by AIU, UGC or AICTE.

Mere submission of the application does not guarantee shortlisting.

Likewise, fulfilment of eligibility conditions does not guarantee a written test or interview call.

ICSI reserves the right to shortlist only suitable candidates.

Moreover, it may fix minimum eligibility standards.

The Institute may also restrict the number of candidates called for interview.

In addition, it may raise eligibility criteria, change the number of vacancies, cancel the recruitment process or decide not to fill the posts.

These decisions may be taken without assigning any reason.

Proficiency in computer applications is essential for all posts.

No TA/DA will be provided for the selection process.

Also, no TA/DA will be provided for joining or completion of the assignment.

Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

Finally, any dispute related to the advertisement will fall under the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi.
