Hyderabad Court Grants Interim Bail To Bandi Sai Bageerath In POCSO Case To Enable Him To Appear For Examinations

Date:

The Bandi Sai Bageerath interim bail order was issued by a Hyderabad court to allow him to appear for his university examinations in a POCSO case. The court granted temporary relief after considering his request to write his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) exams. The interim bail remains valid until June 25.

Background of the Case

Police booked Bageerath under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The FIR was registered on May 8 at Petbasheerabad Police Station. The investigation in the case is still ongoing.

Authorities allege that he sexually assaulted a minor girl. Police continue to examine evidence as part of the probe.

Earlier Court Proceedings

Bageerath approached the Telangana High Court earlier for anticipatory bail. The High Court heard the matter at length. The hearing continued until late at night.

The High Court refused interim protection from arrest. It said the investigation required further scrutiny of evidence.

Interim Bail Order

The Hyderabad court granted limited relief to allow him to attend exams. The court set June 25 as the deadline for the interim bail period.

It directed him to surrender after completing his examinations. The court made clear that the relief applies only to the exam schedule.

Ongoing Investigation

Police continue their investigation in the case. The Telangana Government has already directed a detailed probe. The Director General of Police formed special teams to handle the investigation.

The second use of Bandi Sai Bageerath interim bail reflects the court’s limited relief order, which does not affect the ongoing criminal proceedings.
