Supreme Court Disposes Of Akshay Nanda’s Plea After Rs. 44 Lakh Repayment Offer, Recalls Earlier RBI Audit Direction Against Satya Prakash Capital Investment Ltd

The Supreme Court has closed the Akshay Nanda Repayment Case after Satya Prakash Capital Investment Ltd. offered to repay Rs. 44 lakhs within two weeks. The Court also left the issue of other family members’ entitlement to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Indore Bench.

Supreme Court Accepts Rs. 44 Lakh Repayment Offer

The Supreme Court disposed of the Special Leave Petition filed by Akshay Nanda against Satya Prakash Capital Investment Ltd. and others.

During the hearing, Senior Counsel for the first respondent offered to pay Rs. 44 lakhs to the petitioner within two weeks. Counsel for Akshay Nanda accepted the offer.

The Court therefore closed the petition based on the repayment undertaking.

NCLT To Decide Family Members’ Entitlement

The Court also considered a dispute over the deposit of the amount and the entitlement of other family members.

The issue remains pending before the NCLT, Indore Bench. The Supreme Court directed the Tribunal to decide the matter as soon as possible, preferably within three months.

The Court also kept all arguments open. The parties can raise their respective contentions before the Tribunal.

Supreme Court Recalls Earlier RBI Audit Direction

The Supreme Court also recalled its earlier order dated August 1, 2025.

Through that order, the Court had directed the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to conduct a financial audit of Satya Prakash Capital Investment Ltd.’s accounts.

The Court noted that later developments had made the audit direction unnecessary. It therefore recalled the earlier direction.

Akshay Nanda Repayment Case Disposed Of

The Supreme Court disposed of the Special Leave Petition on the terms recorded during the hearing.

The Court directed all parties to remain bound by the statements made before it.

It also disposed of all pending applications connected with the matter. These included an application seeking intervention or impleadment.
